Nags Head Casino, at the zenith of its popularity in the 1960s, stood proudly as a two-story establishment along Beach Road (NC 12) in Nags Head, North Carolina.

On the first floor, families enjoyed an arcade featuring duckpin bowling, pinball machines, and a diverse array of other arcade games. Ascending to the second floor revealed a dedicated dance hall with polished floors perfect for showcasing your dance moves.

The Casino's ballroom gained fame as a venue where legendary musicians graced the Outer Banks with their performances. Renowned artists such as Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Artie Shaw were among those who left their musical imprint.

Regrettably, after four decades of providing entertainment, the Nags Head Casino succumbed to the forces of nature, collapsing in 1976 following the devastating Ash Wednesday storm.
