The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is the tallest brick lighthouse in the country, as well as the tallest lighthouse of any kind in the state of North Carolina. It is also distinctive for its black and white candy cane striped pattern, which is one of the most utilized designs in lighthouse artwork and images in the world.
Salty Inks, my digital creations, are inspired by all of my favorite places on the Outer Banks. I've been visiting the OBX since I was a child, and I some of my favorite memories are camping in Buxton, falling asleep to the sweeping lighthouse light, and waking up with anticipation of an Apple Ugly from the Orange Blossom Bakery in the heart of Hatteras. During my college years, I’d spend my summers working here, and now I’ve been living on the beach full-time with my husband and children for 13 years. Still, I’m constantly invigorated by our ever-changing, ever-beautiful landscape and community. It’s my hope that through my digital prints, I’m able to capture some of that beauty, and give people a tangible piece of our stunning scenery to always carry with them.

Printed on premium paper with a matte finish, prints are carefully placed in a compostable clear cello bag with backing for protection until you're ready to frame them yourself.
GICLEE PRINTS:
Deep Matte: Smooth, silky non-reflective surface. It is soft to the touch and offers a gallery look.
Pearl Paper: Rich in color and quality, this paper has a very reflective, high-gloss finish with a pearlescent appearance.
*Giclee Prints 16x20 and over will be printed on matboard for easy framing.
Metal Print (ready to hang)
Printed on high-quality aluminum using an innovative dye sublimation process for an impressive display that stands the test of time.
Backing: Floats off the wall with a 1-5/16" depth and finished with wire hanger. Wire hanger is for larger (16x20 +) print sizes, sawtooth will be used for 11×14" and smaller.
